100% Tax Deduction for Donations to Udyogini
Donations to Udyogini are eligible for 100% deduction under Section 35 Ac of the Indian Income Tax. Under Section 35 AC of the Income Tax act, the Central Government – on recommendation from the National Committee for Promotion of Social & Economic Welfare – has notified the Project “ Empowering 30000 women to enhance their capacity and income though their capacity and income through gender inclusive micro enterprises and value chains’’ operated by Udyogini as an eligible project for the allowing 100% deduction of the contribution made by the Assessee.
By donating to Udyogini not only you will help in empowering and supporting poor women, but also help yourselves with 100% Tax deduction benefit.
This is an additional advantage of donating to Udyogini as most of the donation to other NGO qualifies for only 50% deduction under Section 80 G of the Income Tax act.
Once you have made the donation, a receipt of the same and a 100 per cent Tax Exemption Certificate along with a ‘Thank you’ letter will be sent to you via courier or post. The certificate and receipt which will reach you within 10 days of making the donation can be used to avail 100% tax exemption for the respective financial year.
Tax Exemption Donation Faqs
Udyogini is an NGO registered under section 35AC of the Income Tax Act 1961. Therefore every donation above Rs 500 made to Udyogini is eligible to a 100% tax exemption under Section 80GGA.
The exemption is calculated by reducing the donated amount from your taxable salary. For instance, if your taxable income per year is Rs 200,000 and you make a donation of Rs 5,000 then your net taxable income will become Rs 195,000. Your tax will now be calculated on this new amount basis the prevailing tax rates.
A minimum of Rs 500 needs to be donated to avail of 100% tax exemption under IT sec 35AC/ 80GGA (bb).
Yes, you can expect your receipts within 10 days after you have made the donation.
Cash donations above Rs.10,000 is not applicable for 35 AC or 80G certificates.
We generate the tax certificate within 6 days from the date of contribution made through online donations. Including the courier process it takes 10 days for the exemption certificate to reach you. If you contribute offline it takes 15 to 20 days.
